This week was so great! Me and Sister Broadhead are staying together! Tuesday we had MLC and it was good! It felt more like a history class because we were going in depth with the restoration and the Great Apostasy. It was so great. Okay so all of my companions were there but Sister Leavitt! How crazy is that!!! Like seriously all of them. Also sister Rasmussen goes home in 7 weeks.. then Sister Figueroa goes home after that. It's gross.
Wednesday we correlated with the Zone Leaders, and figured out what we were going to teach and how we were going to teach it, that way we didn't make our zone fall asleep on Friday. We also had a lesson with Jeff! Okay seriously though Jeff is like so awesome! He is just so prepared! He is starting to see everything differently! He is just so awesome! There is more about him but in the Sunday section! Haha!
Thursday! So we seriously planned all day, both weekly planning and also ZTM planning! We were trying to figure out how we were going to teach our sections which was, the restoration and Family History. And we were looking for some really cool stories about our relatives that we could share with the zone. And I found a lot about my ancestors who crossed the plains and who would house up to 14 missionaries on the weekends and how they would protect them from the mobs! How cool is that!!! Then we had the ward Christmas party and Jeff brought someone with him, named Crystal, and she wants to be baptized! How cool is that! Jeff it so awesome! He is already a member missionary, he also told us that his baptism will be sooner than a year! Woot!!!
Friday, was ZTM and it was great. We had a good time teaching. President and sister Russell came to ours to observe and it was cool. We were a little nervous at first but we did it, and it went great. We taught about family history and the restoration! It was so great to hear about everyone's family stories. I just LOVE talking about mine and everyone was just happy! Then we went out to eat as a zone, and a member was there at the restaurant and she payed for all, 16 missionaries that were there! How awesome is that! What a great thing to do! She will definitely be blessed!
Sunday!! Okay so Jeff came to church!!! While we were in gospel principles, he was hurting a lot, because about a year ago he broke his back in 2 different places. Well he was hurting really bad. And I was getting really strong promptings that we needed to see if he wanted a blessing but we weren't sure how to do it because we were in the middle of our lesson. But then I just looked at him and was like do you want a blessing? And Jeff was like Yes without hesitation, and so we stopped class and they explained what a blessing was and then the men gave him it. Brother Koehler who is the patriarch gave him the blessing. It was so cool, then at the end of class he was like wow that went by fast, but I guess that happens when you aren't in pain anymore!!! How great is that miracle!!! Ahh!!! We are so excited for Jeff!!!
I am so grateful for the priesthood and for everything that god does for each of his children!!! And I am so grateful for the restoration and for the Prophet Joseph Smith and all he did for us. I know this church is true and I am SO grateful to be a missionary. Love you all so much! Have a great week! Here's some pictures!
