Listen to the Still Small Voice

This week was so incredible! So busy and so many miracles!

So last Monday we got to go to Autzen Stadium where the Oregon Ducks play! And that was awesome! We got a tour of the whole place and got to go on the field and just have fun as a zone! Then on Tuesday we had to get up SUPER early because we had to leave at 6:30 to drive to Corvallis for Zone Conference. It takes about an hour to get up there but it was a really pretty drive! President taught a lot about the Holy Ghost and his role in conversions. It was really good! So we had all been told to prepare a talk to give on the Holy Ghost for conference because president was going to choose 5 different people to give their talks in front of everyone and well out of the 40 people there I was lucky enough to to be one of the five! So here are some of my notes that I spoke off of.
* The Spirit does not get our attention by shouting. It never shakes us with a heavy hand. The Spirit whispers. It caresses so gently, indeed, that if we are preoccupied, we can’t feel it at all.

* “Occasionally, the Spirit will press just firmly enough or often enough for us to pay attention; but from my experience, most of the time, if we do not heed the gentle feeling, if we do not listen with those feelings, the Spirit will withdraw and wait until we come seeking and listening, in our manner and our expression”

* 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, (23) Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. (Galatians 5)

* 3 And it came to pass that while they were thus conversing one with another, they heard a voice as if it came out of heaven; and they cast their eyes round about, for they understood not the voice which they heard; and it was not a harsh voice, neither was it a loud voice; nevertheless, and notwithstanding it being a small voice it did pierce them that did hear to the center, insomuch that there was no part of their frame that it did not cause to quake; yea, it did pierce them to the very soul, and did cause their hearts to burn.

* Don’t get so busy that you don’t have time to meditate. Take the time. The most important testimony does not come by sight, but by the inner witness. Christ may be nearer than we have knowledge. “I am in your midst, but you do not see me. The Holy Ghost bears the sure witness. Mine eyes are upon you. The day cometh when ye shall know that I am

* Joseph stepped toward me, and looking very earnestly, yet pleasantly said, ‘Tell the people to be humble and faithful, and be sure to keep the spirit of the Lord and it will lead them right. Be careful and not turn away the small still voice; it will teach you what to do and where to go; it will yield the fruits of the kingdom. Tell the brethren to keep their hearts open to conviction, so that when the Holy Ghost comes to them, their hearts will be ready to receive it. They can tell the Spirit of the Lord from all other spirits; it will whisper peace and joy to their souls; it will take malice, hatred, strife and all evil from their hearts; and their whole desire will be to do good, bring forth righteousness and build up the kingdom of God. Tell the brethren if they will follow the spirit of the Lord they will go right. Be sure to tell the people to keep the Spirit of the Lord; and if they will, they will find themselves just as they were organized by our Father in Heaven before they came into the world. Our Father in Heaven organized the human family. …"

I took a little time to talk about each bullet point. I am so grateful for the opportunity that I have had to have the Holy Ghost as a CONSTANT companion with me 24/7. It was a really great meeting! President also talked about how we teach our investigators and how they can only comprehend so much at one time. He had this really great analogy, he had one of the Elders in my zone put on a rain poncho and asked for volunteers and of course Sister Johnson and I hoped right up to help! And President had the Elder put an empty cup on his head and gave us a pitcher of water which symbolized our lesson plan. And it showed how we can only teach so much before it starts to overflow. I'll send you the video hopefully it will work(: then by the time we got done it was 5:00 we had been there 10 hours. It was a long day. Then we went on exchanges and Sister Vance (who was originally going to be my companion) came with me and we had a lot of fun!

Then on Wednesday we exchanged back and we had a lesson with Cheryl😊 We talked a lot about the plan of salvation and why we are here. She remembered a lot about the plan of salvation, she could practically teach someone about it. Then we talked about the spirit world 🌎 and how people who didn't have the opportunity to learn about Christ and the fullness of the gospel are being taught there. And that's why we do baptisms for the dead, we also showed her in the bible where it talks about baptisms for the dead. She was really interested and so we committed her to reread/watch the blueprint of Christ's church. Then she talked about how she really wants all of this to be true and that she thinks the Book of Mormon is true because of the good fruit that comes from it (the good people that know it to be true-us💁🏿) she doesn't know exactly how the spirit talks to her so we left her to watch the pattern of light 💡videos to learn more about personal revelation and how it comes. Oh and she has been reading the Book of Mormon a lot more!!😊 it was a really good lesson!

In Thursday we met with a less active again and watched the Joseph Smith restoration movie with her. The spirit was so strong and everytime I watch it I gain such an appreciation for the prophet who did so much for us. He was truly an amazing man called by God to restore his gospel on the earth again today. We had weekly planning that day as well so it was really productive!

On Friday we had another exchange, this time I went with Sister Mann into her ward which is Santa Clara 2nd ward! It was a really good exchange! We found them a new family to teach and met a lot of formers and set up lessons! While I was gone Sister Johnson also found a new investigator which was awesome! Exchanges always bring miracles!😊

I don't remember if I told you guys but the APs gave us A LOT of their people so we have also been meeting them and having lessons with the elders to met their investigators. So on Saturday we exchanged back and had another lesson with Cheryl
We went over the baptismal interview questions to see where she's at with each of the principles. She is so close! She wants to believe it all, but wants to be completely sure before she makes a covenant. She read 2 Nephi 31 and really understands how important it is. She basically bore her testimony about how much the gospel has already changed her life. Her family believes that Mormons are a cult and her main concern is that she wants to have a testimony strong enough so that she can stand up to them when they challenge her beliefs and be an example that they can follow. She is so amazing! I love her so much! Then we had a lesson with the boys about families and we also had a lesson with Jasmine about the commandments! They are all so excited to get baptized on October 15th! It was a really hectic day for us! So many lessons!(:

Yesterday was really great! We had 8 investigators at church and 2 less actives! The Spanish elders in our ward got ice cream for us on Saturday and gave it to us and we were really excited about that! We had a lesson with the boys and jasmine after church and showed them the fount and went over what was going to happen at their baptism! Then right before dinner we were contacting a former and this guy called us over and started talking to us about the gospel and he seemed pretty interested! He knows his bible really well so hopefully our next lesson with him on Sunday goes well! Then last night we ate half our thing of ice cream and we were really hyper and we just had fun talking and making up stupid songs it was great😊

Well this week we find out about transfers.. I really hope that me and sister Johnson stay together. We have been working really hard and we are seeing so much progress it's amazing! We will see what happens!

I SAW SISTER FIGUEROA THIS WEEK😍😍😍😍😍 9/12/2016

Here's a video update of her week!

In one year I'll be on the plane! ✈ 8/29/2016

In one year from today y'all will see my smiling face!

So this week has probably been one of the hardest weeks of my mission. I didn't have any of my medicine and kinda went through withdrawals. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday were REALLY hard. I had pretty bad breakdowns each morning. I'm pretty sure they were anxiety attacks, it was bad. I like couldn't breath and my chest hurt and I basically felt like someone was strangling me. I also got sick and had to go to the doctor for my ear which sucked.  I just wanted my family. I debated so much going home and just quitting. And of course I was being dumb and not telling my companion any of what was going on besides my ear. But I prayed A LOT. Just bawling asking Heavenly Father to just help me get through that day. And it was weird cause it was mostly just the morning that I felt this way and then I wasn't my normal self but I was better by the end of the day and then it would start all over. It was really hard. I got a blessing and that helped a lot. I just love priesthood blessings they are my favorite. ❤️ but then after that Sister Leavitt came back for the weekend. So we picked her up on Friday night and we are taking her to the mission home tonight. She got ETd to train the first Spanish sister in the mission. So now she is going down to Klamath to be in a Spanish branch! She is really nervous but she will do great! And this weekend was a lot better than the beginning of the week! We found 2 new investigators and we had a lot of lessons and over all it was very hard but worth it. I know why I am here, I have a lot of things I need to work on, but I know that this is something that I need to do, that I need to put one step in front of the other even though I am scared and nervous. I can't quit cause it's hard. I do that a lot and I don't want to. I am still learning how to do that but it will get better as time goes. I also learned that I really need my medicine everyday.. It is quite important. I've grown a lot closer to my Heavenly Father this week. I know that he loves each and everyone of us and that he is always there! I know this church is true and that Jesus went through everything we will ever experience! I love my mission so much, even when it's hard!

Love,
Sister Morgan

Garden Party Shenanigans ✌ 8/22/2016

Well this week was crazy! So I was supposed to get Sister Vance but someone went home and it changed a bunch of things up so now I'm with Sister Johnson!(: she is amazing! We really get along. So to start the week I got sick once again.. So that was awful. But we had some really good lessons! Oh and Autumn didn't end up getting baptized this week which really stunk. There was a lot happening and her parents weren't being the best support system so we are moving the date to September 2 or 3rd! She is so ready and it's sad to see her family holding her back, but she is so strong and has an amazing testimony especially for a 13 year Old! Ah I love her so much! We taught Ryan on Monday that went really good! Then we taught Cheryl a couple times this week! We got her to quit coffee and tea which is great!(: she made my moms amazing chicken enchiladas for us! They were SO good. Then we had a lesson with the Prudhel family which the spirit was so strong! Oh man so then on Thursday our relief society had a garden party. It was really good! It let all the woman bound and Cheryl came and had a blast! Then the next day Sister Johnson wasn't feeling so well. And on Saturday she was really sick! We thought it was just a virus that had been going around the mission. Turns out that a lot of people who went to the garden party got food poisoning!! There was 15+ woman who didn't go to church because they were so sick and more who did come even though they were sick. So that was fun! Then last night we taught the Ambrosek boys and jasmine! They are all so amazing! And really progressing towards their baptismal date!(: I also now can catch spiders! We have 2 pet spiders, Dwight and Frieto! We put them in a jar and now they are best friends so that was great! I have almost gotten over my fear of spiders! (: well it was a good week. I really love seeing the light of Christ grow in the people that I am teaching as they continue to progress in the gospel! I love this area! And I'm so excited for this upcoming transfer!

Love you all!
Sister Morgan ❤️

8/15/2016

Hey everyone,
So guess what week it is? Transfer week! Sad news, Sister Leavitt is leaving :( she is going to coos bay to follow up train my last companion, Sister Rasmussen's trainee! So that's exciting! I'm going to be taking over the area! My new companion is Sister Vance, I haven't met her yet but I have heard great things!(: I HAVE BEEN OUT 6 MONTHS!! This is crazy! I still feel like a brand new missionary.. But life is good! We had a good week! We saw a lot of people, had a lot of lessons and have been saying bye for Sister Leavitt! So exciting news! AUTUMN IS GETTING BAPTIZED THIS WEEK!! I am so excited for her, oh so cute so she had her baptismal interview yesterday and when she was done she was like skipping down the hall to her mom saying "I did it mom, I did it!!" Ahh I just love her so much! This past week was good we just kept staying busy, being obedient, and oh we gave AWESOME talks yesterday in sacrament. I talked about how Heavenly Father loves each of us and our individual worth. It was really good and it helped me so much. Probably my favorite quote from it is "You are known and remembered by the most majestic, powerful, and glorious Being in the universe! You are loved by the King of infinite space and everlasting time!” Heavenly Father loves us so much. Then I talked about the lion king 😊

"In The Lion King after Sima's father died, Simba fled far from the kingdom because he felt guilty about his father’s death. He wanted to escape his responsibility as heir to the throne. Farther along in the movie Simba receives a visit from his deceased father, Mufasa. His father appears to him and warns him: “You have forgotten who you are and so have forgotten me. Look inside yourself, Simba. You are more than what you have become. You must take your place in the circle of life.” Then this invitation is repeated several times: “Remember who you are. … Remember who you are.”

Simba, completely shaken by this experience, decides to accept his destiny. He confides in his friend, the shaman monkey, that it “looks like the winds are changing.”

The monkey replies, “Change is good.”

And Simba says: “But it’s not easy. I know what I have to do. But going back means I’ll have to face my past. I’ve been running from it for so long.”

“Where are you going?” the monkey asks him.

 “I’m going back!” cries Simba.

We can all take--or take back--our place in the circle of life. Become who you really are. Your happiness and ability to find balance in your life will occur as you find, recognize, and accept your true identity as a child of our Heavenly Father and then live in accordance with this knowledge."

It was just a really good talk(: well that is pretty much my week! I hope all of you have a great week! Love and miss you!

Sister Morgan ❤️

8/8/2016

This week has been good! We taught most of our investigators! Autumn is now on date for August 20th and she should make it! She knows and understands more than we thought she did. Which is so awesome, while she was at girls camp she made a lot of friends so there will be a lot of support at her baptism! Cameron and Dillon we taught twice this week cause they are only here every other weekend. We taught them about the commandments obey, pray, study. And then about the 10 commandments and follow the prophet and baptism and confirmation!

Last night after the lesson Cameron just came and gave me the biggest hug it was so great(: They are now on date for October 1st! Which is really exciting! Their dad is trying to fix up his life and quit some things so that he can be worthy to baptize his kids so that gives them all time to be ready by that day! We didn't get to teach jasmine this week but she will most likely get baptized with her cousins on the 1st! We had a lesson with Ryan (13 year old foster son of one of our members) last night. He is so awesome, he loves the gospel so much and has a true desire to learn more and to get baptized! We taught him obey, pray, study as well and it went really good! We talked about how Nephi studied the scriptures with his family and that they likened it to their lives and how we need to do the same thing. And about how when we pray we get the countenance of Christ. It went really good! He has already been reading everyday and praying, he knows this church is true. He is going to talk to his case worker on Wednesday to get permission! So keep him in your prayers!

We had a lesson with this little girl Reese, she is 9 and adorable! Her family are all converts but they went less active before she turned 8. So we have been working with them! We have been making some progress I think not just with her but with the parents as well. Before I came the dad didn't sit in on the lessons at all but now he come and participates in them. We got him to talk about his baptism and how he felt. The spirit was so strong when he told his little girl about how amazing it is. She wants to get baptized and is praying about a day! This past week we read the Book of Mormon together with her family. And got them to commit to have family scripture study everyday as a family. Which is awesome! I saw her Saturday while we were contacting people and was so excited to tell me that she has been reading every Night! They haven't come to church yet but we are getting there. One step at a time. We also met with Cheryl which was really good! She has come to church the past 2 weeks which is super exciting! She had only come once in like 11 weeks before that. She even signed up to feed us 3 days month (: she even wanted to sign up for the elders. She is progressing so much it's amazing! We are eating with her tonight and having a lesson so hopefully we can figure out what all she needs to do to get baptized. But I think she knows it is true, I think she is just kinda scared to admit it to her family cause they aren't the biggest fans of Mormons. Oh and we also met with Dan again this week and he came to church again as well! Which was really exciting! He has gone through a lot in his life. He dropped the sisters a little over a month ago and we figured out it was because he got scared of all the changes. But he feels peace and comfort when he meets with us and when he comes to church which Is good! The ward is really good! We have members for pretty much every lesson! It's great! We had 6 this week which is good!

Xoxoxo

8/1/2016

Sorry I stink at writing weekly emails! But here is an update on how my week went!(:

Monday: so today was p-day and after I got done emailing we went to dinner at the Mendozas house. Ryan is sister Mendozas foster son, so we had dinner and a lesson with them! It was so amazing! We taught about the gospel of Jesus Christ and throughout the lesson you could just tell that he felt the spirit! He is so smart and awesome! He was like quoting D&C scriptures and for the strength of youth! And he is only 13!! Ah that boy is amazing. So in the middle of the lesson we stopped and asked him how he was feeling and he told us that he could feel a nudge on his heart that was warm and how he liked it and we were like that's the spirit!! It was awesome! We used the water/dye/bleach/vinegar example and he really liked that! I think he is really starting to understand baptism and the Holy Ghost! Then he asked if we could put more die into the mix to see what it would happen and it was so great cause it was there but it didn't spread to far and slowly but surely it was washed clean and he really liked that! Then we closed with the song, "if the savior stood beside me" the spirit was so strong it was awesome! Then after Ryan we ran over to a potentials house Amanda! Man she is so great! We met with Amanda on her driveway, she is a custodian at the federal court house. She has a foster daughter, Brianna, who went to girls camp. (We think she is a member) Amanda doesn't like churches cause all they want is money. But she really likes the Mormon church. She said "if I was ever to join any church it would be the Mormon one" We talked about the restoration of the gospel and she said that we need a prophet today cause she thinks something needs to happen (second coming) soon. We talked about the savior and what he did on this earth and how the priesthood authority was lost until Joseph smith and she understood that. She told us about how her son read the bible and didn't like it cause it was contradicting to itself but then he read the Book of Mormon and it wasn't contradicting at all. We gave her a Book of Mormon and invited her to read all of the questions of the soul. She is so nice and sweet.  She said we could come back next Friday!! She's awesome! She also wants to give us a tour of where she works and she is just the best! It was an amazing end to the day. Because I had been struggling hard core before that.

Tuesday: so today was good! We went and saw Cheryl and had a 2 hour lesson with her! We answered a lot of her questions and I think she just needed to talk. It was just an improv decision to go and while we were walking up all her dogs ran up to us and it was weird cause her door was wide open, the tv was on super Lou's but she was no where to be seen. So we put two of her dogs inside and shut her door. While we were getting the last one Cheryl came out of her sisters house, which is right next door, because she heard her door shut. She was so thankful that we came and found her dogs! Well we sat and talked about her life and the things that she knows she needs to change but doesn't know exactly how to change! We talked about prayer and how we need to ask Heavenly Father what we need to do next and for help to be able to do it. She really understood that and said that she needs to do that and to be willing to act upon her answer. She is scared cause she doesn't know what it will be or how she will be able to act on it, but she knows Heavenly Father will take care of her. Then we went and saw Dan! Dan is the man! He is so awesome. He dropped the sisters a while before I came to the area and a little while ago we stopped by to see how he was doing and every time we see him he is getting closer and closer. He is changing little things. He wants to read the whole Book of Mormon before he asks us his questions about it. Because a lot of the time our questions get answered later while reading! He pinky promised that he was going to come to church this week. He is so great! He has been missing his foster mom a lot lately so I think we are gonna go back later this week with pineapple (his favorite) to cheer him up some! Then we met with Mark, Mark is hard sometimes, he doesn't believe in anything he can't see. He really likes us coming to see him and things but we don't really know what to do about him. But everytime we go he has a cars 101 with us. He works for Ford and just fixes cars all the time. So everytime we go over he makes sure that we ask him all of our questions about cars. I learned what happened to my car my junior year of high school when the clutch went out, with the parts and all! So that was really cool! Oh then we got home. Ugh I was so mad, so our neighbors gave us flees. They have been here way longer than me and sister Leavitt and I am so tired of it. I seriously just raid sprayed our whole apartment I was so angry. I keep getting bitten and it doesn't feel very good. Tomorrow we are doing a HUGE deep cleaning of our whole apartment.

Wednesday: today was Sister Leavitts birthday!!! so today me and sister Leavitt decided that we were going to fast because today is the day that Ryan is asking his case worker if he can get baptized! So that is super exciting! We had service from 8-12 we bagged broccoli for 4 hours.. It was a blast. But it was actually really fun! Then we came home and ate and cleaned our whole apartment. Oh so our apartment has fleas. It has had fleas since before sister Leavitt was transferred here.. So today was the day that we decided that they were all dieing. So we cleaned the whole apartment, I found a spider that was bigger than a quarter, and I killed it(: it was scary. Then we went to the mission office to ask them about what we should do next and about our car because one of the tires pressures was really low. And I got a letter from sister Figueroa! Then we got our tire fixed and went to Walmart to get flea bombs. We also got ice cream cake and her favorite candy(: then we went home and put the bombs off. We couldn't be in there for 2 hours which was easy, we just went and visited some people then had dinner! We finally got to eat! I was fine but she was a little hangry the whole day haha. Then we came home to open all the windows and vents to air it out. We went and saw some other people and then her tummy didn't feel so well so we went home. Really not much happened but we got a lot of things done that we needed to. We are now A BUG free household!! I'm super happy about that(:

Thursday: so today was an eventful day! We had a lesson with a new investigator named Demi! She is GORGEOUS! And has the cutest kid. But it went really well we talked about the restoration and prophets on the earth today. It was interesting, haha she had 2 bongs on her counter so we know there will be a word of wisdom issue. That lasted about an hour and a half. Then we had weekly planning which is always long and wonderful. We had a lesson with Nino which was good, we read about the tree of life in the Book of Mormon. We used the Book of Mormon stories as well to help him understand a little bit better about what was going on. After that we went and saw Cheryl which went so good! She received a lot of answers to her questions that we had on Tuesday! It was so amazing, she was so excited! She understood the answer loud and clear So now she is looking for a job and dumping her boyfriend and pretty much taking her life back into her control! I am so excited for her! She said she will be coming to church this weekend too which is great! Every Thursday night Brother Fusco holds a class for recent converts and less actives and investigators so we went to that and we studied the talk How Can I Become the Woman of Whom I Dream? By Gordon B. Hinckley. Hahaha it was kinda funny that he chose that talk but he is the only guy in the class so it was good. It's a great talk and it definitely helped me and sister Leavitt. The spirit definitely guided him to that for us specifically.

Friday: we had specialized training like ALL day! But it was really good! We talked a lot about the Holy Ghost and Joseph smiths life and also about the Book of Mormon! I have such an appreciation for the prophet Joseph Smith, and for everything he did for this church. I know that he was a prophet of God and that he restored the church of Jesus Christ back on the earth today. He went through so much for this church it's incredible. He was an amazing man who just loved all. He is definitely on my list of people to meet after this life (: plus he translated the Book of Mormon so that I could have it. That book is the most amazing, incredible, book in the world. It holds l gospel of Jesus Christ and it really is the keystone of our religion. I just want to read it all day everyday. But I'm okay with stopping so that I can share it with the rest of the world!

Sunday: ahh Sunday was amazing! So we came to church early to plan our lesson for third hour with the elders (we were teaching all of the youth about reverence during church). Then sacrament was so incredible! We have 5 people come to church!! We had Cheryl, Dan, Ryan, Jasmine, and Autumn!! We were so excited. The spirit was so strong. The talks were on how we are childen of God and how that is our divine nature. It was incredible. Then Sunday school was on the Holy Ghost and I think it really helped Dan and Cheryl. Then for the last hour we taught the youth. The spirit was so strong. We talked about the spirit and how if we have reverence, no matter where we are, then the spirit will be with us and we can receive revelation. All of the youth said that they wanted to receive revelation during church and it was just such an awesome lesson. Then after church Dan came and talked to us and said that he will be at church next Sunday and pinky promised us! This is huge for Dan because he was coming to church and was really close to baptism about 2 months ago and then he just dropped the sisters. So we are so glad that he is continuing to progress. Even after he dropped them he has continued to read the Book of Mormon and pray! He says that he has questions but that he doesn't want to ask us them until he has finished the whole Book of Mormon! Which we are okay with! It was just a great day and the spirit was so strong the whole day(:

Love and miss you all!

My week was pretty good! Tuesday: so today we did a lot of finding and lessons mixed into it. We went tracking a found a couple potentials who said we could come back! We saw sooo many spiders it's ridiculous. Then we went to a less actives house and talked to her. She REALLY needed to talk to someone. Then we had a lesson with Autumn which went really well! She has girls camp next week which is so exciting! I'm happy that she gets to get away from her family for a week and get to be with good examples! Then we had dinner, oh man that was rough. So sister Leavitt is awesome and can speak Spanish and the members house we ate ate ONLY knew Spanish. It was really long and confusing for me. I had no idea what was going on, but I did try my hardest to speak to her in Spanish. So then after dinner we went and got a well deserved ice cream from Dairy Queen (: then we continued to contact people and less actives! We met some really cool people so it was great!

Thursday: man today was INCREDIBLE. We met with so many people it was great. We listened to Conversion of a Catholic which is so spiritual. Then we went and had a lesson with Cheryl. It went really good! We taught the gospel of Jesus Christ using water/die/bleach/vinegar and how the gift of the Holy Ghost is so important. She wants it to be true so badly. She always says if this is true then how amazing is this church it needs to be told to everyone! She just needs to come to know for herself that the Book of Mormon is true. She is praying about a baptismal date! Then we had a lesson with Autumn, it went well we taught her about keeping the sabbath day holy and following the prophet. After our lesson we had dinner with the smith family (: they are so cute! After we had a lesson with Nino which we read some chapters out of the Book of Mormon. He is someone we have to teach slowly to teach effectively. Then we had a lesson with a less active and her nonmember husband which went really good. He cried when we talked about the atonement. It was so spiritual! Then we went to the church to sync and we got a text from Dillon and Cameron's grandma saying that her daughter FINALLY agreed to let her daughter meet with the missionaries and get baptized!! Jasmin is so cute, she has been wanting to get baptized since forever! So then we ran over to her house to have a lesson with jasmin and Dillon. They are the strongest most prepared 9 year olds I have ever met! Jasmin wants to get baptized the same day as the boys!! 😊
Last night we had a lesson with Cameron and Dillon and it went really well! We taught the plan of salvation and Cameron really seemed to understand it!

Love you all!

Santa Clara 🎅

Things are going really well for me! So I got transferred to Santa Clara 3rd ward which is in Eugene! I LOVE my companion! Sister Leavitt and I came out together in the MTC which is super fun(: I really like the area (something crazy: my bishop was roommates with uncle Joe in college!) just found that out last night! Oh and their are a lot of people in this ward that are related to people in Creswell which is awesome(: We share a ward with the Assistants to the President which is interesting! We don't see them very often but they are awesome missionaries and do a lot for our mission that no one sees!

We had a really good week for the most part! On Monday till Wednesday I was REALLY sick. And we found out that I actually get really bad migraines, that make me throw up a lot so that sucks! So we went out some on Tuesday but I almost threw up at someone's house so we went home!  We haven't had a ton of time to go finding cause we have had so many lessons this week and we did service for the Olympic trials in Eugene which was SUPER fun(: we got a lot of free stuff from Nike which is always nice! We did that from 9-5 on Wednesday and SaturdayWe were the security check people. It was exhausting yet so great because it was 3 different zones doing it, so we got to see a lot of missionaries! We have 3 zones in the Eugene area and our mission calls
it the trinity so I'm already 2/3 for serving in them which is fun! On Thursday and Friday we had a lot of lessons and we actually just put 3 people on date! They are all 13 and younger but they are adorable and all their parents are less actives coming back to church. There are 2 brothers and a different little girl. They are all so cute and fun, I am so excited for them and their families! I know that families can be together forever. I am so grateful for mine and for all they do for me! This next week we are going to a Nashville Tribute concert in Creswell(: I'm SO excited! I get to see all of my old ward members and listen to music and see lots of missionaries it's gonna be great! Well
I hope you all have a great Week! I love and miss you all!

Sister Morgan 😊

Goodbye Coquille 👋

So we had elders and sisters in our ward and everyone thought that the only person leaving was sister Rasmussen but it turns out that she is the only one staying! They took elders completely out of the ward and she will be training a new missionary. I am going back up to the Eugene area, I won't be in the same zone as before but it's still right in Eugene. It's Santa Clara. So I'm gonna be in Santa Clara 3rd ward and my new companion is Sister Leavitt which I'm SUPER excited about! She was one of the sisters that came out with me. Probably my favorite sister that came out with me(: she is freaking adorable! So I'll be with her and we share a ward with the APs! So it should be interesting but really good! This past week has been really good yet really rough. I have been so anxious and stressed about transfers it's ridiculous. So we walked a ton because we didn't have miles on our car, which was good! It was super hot but I survived...barely!

So Tuesday we had service at the food pantry which is always fun! Then we walked around town and found some new investigators! One is our next door neighbor, she is super cute and her family is great! Then we went to this little town called fair view. It was pretty! But nothing happened. Then on Wednesday all our lessons cancelled and so we went and saw some Less actives which was good! We had dinner with the
Davis's they are so awesome! It's this cute little old couple it was just great! Then Thursday we did weekly planning and then walked to dinner and then walked around a lot. I learned a very important lesson that day. So during weekly planning I was eating a lot of starbursts, so pretty much all day I only ate starbursts. Then at dinner we had this oriental salad stuff that was roman noodles and stuff on top of it. But the salad dressing a a vinegaret thing that was pretty much straight vinegar. Then my lovely compeniero dared me to drink a spoonful of it so of course I did. And then I ate a bowl of rocky road ice cream. Then we walked around and let me tell you, my tummy was NOT very happy with me. I felt like I was gonna throw up and it was an awful pain in my tummy like the vinegar was burning a hole in my stomach. So we then went to a members house cause I couldn't walk very well lol and they took us home! So lesson that I learned was DO NOT mix starbursts and vinegar in your tummy, it will not be happy with you!

So Friday we had district meeting in Bandon which is on the beach and it was pretty good! Our district went to the beach after to get a picture together and hang out! It was really nice, I didn't realize that it was the last time that I was going to be at the beach for a while but it was good! I'll send you a picture! I'm seriously so short compared to everyone else! Then our service got cancelled so we went contacting people and took a lot of pictures(: then we got something
for our investigator Nancy cause it was her birthday! So we dropped it off at her house cause she wasn't home! Then we had dinner and then a lesson with Sharon! It ended up being more of talking about like and checking up on her cause we knew we were getting transfer calls that
night so we might have been nervous. But she was so excited she wanted up to get the call while we were with her, and we did! She was on the call with us when president told us the news!

Then on Saturday we packed and cleaned a lot! But that morning we had breakfast with Nancy and oh she is hilarious. She told us about her old job as a security officer and she has some funny super inappropriate stories! Then we cleaned and packed and talked. Sister rass broke down she is super nervous to take over the whole area by herself, she has always had elders in her ward. Then we had dinner at the church with the elders and some members which was good and we had ward correlation with our WML. Then sister rass got a blessing cause she was freaking out. But she is all good now! Then Sunday we had church and had a lesson with Rae, who is on date for July 22nd, during Sunday school which went really good! Then after church we went to see people so that I could say bye! We went to the bishops house, the Nugens who are recent converts, the Davis's, and to a sister in our ward that we have dinner with every Monday and she does our laundry. Then we went to Sharon's house and had another lesson with her and so that I could say bye! She is so cute! Then we went over to the churches house for dinner! (They are a family in our ward) they are so awesome I'm going to miss them a lot! After that we went over and
sister rass cleaned the elders kitchen because it was truly disgusting. It smelt nasty and they don't know how to clean. It was gross.
But now I am back here in Eugene and with sister Leavitt so I'm super excited about this transfer! It should be amazing! I love you all so much!

Love,
Sister Morgan
