Think about it, it's like the District 1 kids, they grow up training to volunteer.
So this week has been really good yet really hard! I love you all so much. I truly can feel the influence of your prayers. I want you to know that God hears your prayers because there are miracles happening everyday down here. Its incredible because in just a week I already love it here. I love the people, I love my companion, I love the work and I love all of you. I am getting used to the cold and it rains every time we go tracting so I am not too bothered by it now. Which is good news and a blessing from the Lord. So this week one of our investigators, Caitlin, had her baptismal interview with President Russell which went really well! She isn't on date yet, she needs a few more weeks, but it's big she had a good interview! We also found a new investigator who is really awesome, he's a chef. We had a REALLY interesting dinner the other night. A family had us over at 4:30 for dinner but then dinner wasn't even ready till 6:00. Then when we sat down, the mom broke the back of her wood chair. Then while we were eating dinner the daughter left and we were waiting for her and then the dad was like "Oh, she's on the crapper". Then the son was like "We should really talk about what's appropriate to talk about at the dinner table..." And the food was interesting. It was all just interesting. Then on Sunday my wards Bishop got released which was really sad. But when he bore his testimony you could truly feel the spirit and that he was a man called of God. So yeah that was my week! This week should be good! I miss you all so much and hope your week is great!

I'M IN OREGON!!!!
So this past week has been crazy! Its weird to think that I was in the MTC for half of it.. But now I am in Oregon!(:
On Tuesday (at the MTC) we had a devotional and the General Primary President spoke. It was really good! She quoted a lot of scriptures but one really stood out to me, 2 Nephi 22:2. I don't have my scriptures with me at the moment... but go look it up! its incredible (: The whole devotional we sang primary songs, and the ones about going on missions well the words were changed so it was talking about us now how we are on missions and it was such a spiritual thing to sing those songs growing up and now I'm actually doing it! We also sang If The Savior Stood Beside Me which is one of my all time favorites by Sally! That song just follows me wherever I go and it is wonderful. I love it so much!
On Wednesday we had to get up at 5:00 to go to the airport. It was nice to just sit and relax and be way early for my flight.. I don't get that luxury too much (; I got to call my family and that was so great! I really miss them! The flight was like an hour and a half. Not to bad! I just slept most of the time! When we got there our President and his wife picked us up and took us to the mission home! We slept there that night and they gave us delicious food!(:
Then on Thursday we went to the stake center in Eugene to meet our new companions and get our areas!! But of course our President made us sit through 2 hours worth of information and stuff before he would tell any of us... BUT I am now serving in a small little town called Creswell! (: and my companion is sister Figueroa ( figure- oh -ah) is how you say it! She is this cute adorable red head!
I love her so much! We get along so well and we crack each other up! She showed me popcorn bopping.. it's missionary dub step/ modern music. Just look it up! It's is great, I'll send you guys a video of my first time listening to it! Now I jam out with her, so you can just picture two sister missionaries JAMMING out in the car driving around town! (: Its like kids bop on Mormon steroids. I also met one of our new investigators and she is just adorable! She is 11 and super sweet!
Well Friday and Saturday and Sunday have all kinda ran together! My apartment is super adorable! On Friday we had to bug raid it... I killed so many spiders you guys should be proud of me. But now we don't have any ants or spiders or weird bugs that we don't know what they are. Then I unpacked all my stuff so it looks nice and pretty! We went contacting a lot and met some really cool people! On Sunday we went to church and well I already LOVE my ward! They are so awesome! The bishop had me get up and introduce myself and bear my testimony! Then instead of Relief Society we went to Young Women's which was a nice change! (: After church we ate a lot of girl scout cookies (Thanks mom and dad! My birthday money is being spent in a very great way!) and we set up our beds and a table with the IPad to watch some bible videos (one of our goals this transfer is to watch all of them!) So it was really nice to just relax during our dinner time and to eat yummy food!(: OOH I also made my companion homemade mac and cheese the other night... she loved it of course!(:
So today is Monday (My new P-day!) and we had the coolest experience happen to us. So we went grocery shopping before we came to email and we met this old grandpa guy when we like first got there and we kept running into him throughout the store and we were there for like an hour and a half.. and when we went to the car his truck was right next to us!! He invited us to pet his dogs and we just got the strongest feeling to give him our card and talk to him more about Christ and we offered to give service and stuff.. and a little while after we got to the church he called us and was like, "Well I don't really feel comfortable with most people but on my way home I was praying about you girls and I just felt Christ so much telling me that I need to call you and see if you could come over and help me out." It was just really incredible and it makes me really happy. He told us a lot more about his life and he reminds me of my grandpa and he is just this sweet old guy who I know is ready to hear the gospel and its just great!(:
Well I love you all and I hope you are doing great! I love this gospel and being a missionary. Yeah its hard sometimes but little things like today are what it is all about!(: I know that this is the true gospel of Jesus Christ and that he died for me. I LOVE the Book of Mormon. It is the greatest book of all time and I truly know that Joseph Smith was a Prophet called by God. I miss you all so much and hope your week is going great! Miss you!
Love,
Sister Morgan! (:

Oregon Here I Come!!
Well everyone my time here at the MTC has come to a very sad end! But this past week has been incredible! So last Tuesday night Elder Rasband, the new apostle, came and spoke at the devotional! It was a world wide MTC devotional and guess who sang in the choir?!? This girl (: I was also on the big screen soo pretty much people from all over the world saw me
But it was really awesome, he interacted with all of the missionaries, walking around and letting us ask him questions. It was SO GOOD! We talked about how missionaries are called. It made my testimony grow so much knowing that one of the 12 apostles looked at my face personally and received the inspiration for me to go to Eugene Oregon! I know that this is where I am supposed to go to serve the Lord!
Classes this week were super good!(: I love my teachers! They have helped me grow so much and I have truly had my love grow for Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon. I know that he is a true prophet of God and that the Book of Mormon is true. It was also my last week with my investigators! They have grown so much throughout our lessons just as I have. But yeah that was pretty much my week. We get up, work out, study, have class, eat, and study some more and then have more class! Yesterday was our last day in class (because today is P-day) and it was also our last day with the Elders in our district :/ it was a sad day! But it was also really good! We got done with class at 5:30 so we basically had 4 hours just to be as a district and hang out. We got a lot of pictures this week. Hopefully I can figure out how to put them on the computer
But so last night all the Elders gave us blessings before they left. We had our own devotional thing where we sang a song and had a prayer and then everyone who wanted a blessing got one. Which I think it was all of the girls and 2 of the guys, 2 of them didn't want ones... but thats okay! Elder White gave me mine and it was so spiritual and amazing. It made me cry. I cried a lot last night and this morning cause we said bye to two of our Elders after breakfast. I know I am going to cry a lot tomorrow as well saying good bye to my sisters. We are in the same mission so it wont be as bad. Last night we all just sat on one bed and talked about our lives and the mission and spiritual things and it was so great!
I'M GOING TO OREGON GUYSSSS!!!!!!!! My flight is at like 11:00 am and its about 2 hours long. So I should get there around noon in Oregon time. It's so exciting yet nerve racking at the same time! Well, yeah, that was my week! Next time I talk to you guys I will be in Oregon! (: I just want you all to know that I know this church is true and that I am so glad that I am on my mission right now at this time. I love you all and really miss you guys!!

The MTC
Hey Guys!!
So this past week has been pretty crazy! first to begin with I almost missed my flight because I was running behind on packing... (usual for me). soo i forgot my list of everyone's emails. If you want to get my letters you send those to me! I had also been pretty sick before I actually went into the MTC. But once i was in the doors I felt a lot better! I went to class and met my district, and I love them so much! There are some incredible people here with me. We all know how to have a really fun time but then 10 mins later have a really spiritual experience. On the first night we had groups of like 50 people teaching different investigators and i felt the spirit so strongly! And by the end of the night I had no problems falling asleep, I was drained! My teachers are incredible and they have helped my testimony grow and confidence in role playing grow (I always feel so dumb doing it). But I am getting more comfortable with it and better... I think (:
So there are 3 sister companion ships and 2 elder companion ships in our district. Me and my companion Sister Simmon, then there are Sister Leavitt, Sister Dobbins, Sister Reese, and Sister Peterson. The Elders are Elder White, Holebrooke, Bouk, and Powell. We all get along pretty well. The oldest are 24 and the youngest are 18 so its a very different group of people!
Its CRAZY that it has only been a week here. It feels like I have been here for like 3. Being up at 6:30 and going to bed at 10:30 is a struggle but i'm getting through it! So there have been some good times and also some bad. My first two days were great! and then it sunk in that i was gone and then I got a little homesick!(; I saw a couple of my friends from Hawaii and from home in Colorado so that was great! Me and my companion are two very different people.. more like complete opposites. So its been a struggle to connect with her as much as I have connected with the others in our districts. Its been getting harder and harder each day. But I just keep praying that I will be able to love her and serve her in anyway possible! Cause that is all I can really do.
Sunday was INCREDIBLE!! We had church with our zone and then during relief society all I could think about was eating a box and mac and cheese and taking a nap. I really miss mac and cheese.. but then me, Sister Leavitt, Sister Dobbins, Elder White and Elder Holebrooke went to choir practice and it was so great! There are so many people in that choir! It was really nice to sing again, we are singing Nearer My God To Thee. Which is actually about a story in the Bible! I had no idea! But that was great(: Then we had a fireside and Brother Heaten (Dad that's your friend!!) talked. He talked about how we need to teach repentance and baptize converts. And how this small sentence means so much more then you think. It is a way bigger picture then just the convert and the people it affects here on Earth, but how it affects their whole families who are alive and not. Then he had converts tell their stories and it was just so great! Then my district went to Elder Badnar's talk, The Character of Christ! It was about turning against the natural man and then turn to Christ. And how we need to not focus on ourselves but on others. Especially when we are going through trials, that we need to serve others and not focus on ourselves. It was just soo good! Yesterday was rough, with so many thing adding up on each other that I just ended up praying hard for 30 mins crying and just having a break down. BUT today is going a lot better. We went to the temple and it was soo pretty!(: and I get to wear jeans!!! I never thought I would be this excited about that. So while at the temple we didn't need to wear our name tags but the whole time I just kept checking for mine then realizing oh yeah its in my locker! I was so worried that I didn't have it on. Then when I put it back on it was so much relief. I didn't realize how much I loved that little name tag on my chest. I am so thankful to be here and I know that this is where I am supposed to be at this point in my life. I love this church so much and I know that it is true.
Talk to you guys next week!!
Love.
Sister Morgan!
PS i forgot to take pictures so other people in my district are going to send me some. Then ill send them to you guys!(: LOVE YOUUU!
